It's time for University of the Free State students to register for the 2024 academic year. This is all the information you need to know.

University of the Free State (UFS) has officially opened their registration for the 2024 academic year. Both new and returning students can now register.

UFS Registration Dates

UFS registration dates differ for first year, senior and postgraduate students and will take place as follows:

  • 5 - 9 February: Curriculum advice and registration for first year students
  • 29 January – 12 February: Curriculum advice and registration for senior students
  • 30 January – 17 February: Curriculum advice and registration for postgraduate students (Honours and PGDip - unless communicated otherwise by your faculty)
  • 29 January – 12 February: Returning master’s and doctoral students can register during the official registration period taking place 

How To Register

  1. Log in to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to complete the registration task and sign the registration agreement.
  2. Register your modules
  3. Contact the Card Division to arrange your student card once your registration is finalised.
  4. You must verify that your modules reflect accurately on the Blackboard portal.

Ensure that you have received and accepted a firm offer from the university before attempting to complete your registration. 

The last date to add or change modules will be 16 February with the last date to cancel modules with full credit being 31 March.

Classes will commence on 12 February 2024.
