Which TVET Colleges Are In The Free State?

At TVET Colleges, students receive education and training with a view towards a specific range of jobs, employment or entrepreneurial possibilities. After completing a qualification at a TVET College, you then might qualify for admission to a University of Technology to continue their studies at a higher level in the same field of study. Here are a list of the TVET Colleges in the Free State. 

TVET translates to Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The student receives education and training with a view towards a specific range of jobs, employment or entrepreneurial possibilities. The TVET website states, "Under certain conditions, some students may qualify for admission to a University of Technology to continue their studies at a higher level in the same field of study as they were studying at the TVET College."

Colleges operating under the term TVET are public colleges which benefits from state funds and subsidies. Students at TVET Colleges are eligible for funding from NSFAS if they meet the other requirements.

Different courses are offered at the different campuses per TVET college. Here are the TVET Colleges in the Free State. 

Flavius Mareka TVET College

Flavius Mareka is a TVET College which is a product of a merge of colleges in 2000. The college is named after a prominent figure in educational, cultural and political circles Mr. Flavius Mareka. Their mission is to provide responsive education and training programmes that will contribute to the overall development of their students.The college provides learnerships and skills programs, bridging courses, report 191 (NATED) courses, and National Certificate Vocational (NCV) courses.
