Online registration process for contact and distance students

Online registration for first-year students will commence on 23 January and online registration for senior students will commence on 30 January. The registration period for all students will close on 17 February.

In order to register, students will need to visit the university website http://studies.nwu.ac.za/studies/registration and sign in with their student number and pin.

Click on the "registration" option, followed by the "self-registration" option. Choose your qualification and click "next".

Fill in your personal and contact information and ensure that it is correct before proceeding.

Select the correct modules that you are registering for. You can use the Online Faculty Registration Assistant if you need any help.

Click "next" to apply the "pre-requisite test". It will indicate which modules you need to register for.

Accept the "undertaking" which confirms that you accept the terms of agreement.

You will receive a notification stating that your registration process was successful. Proof of registration will be sent to your student email address.

Online registration process for international students

International students will first need to consult with the Global Engagement Office before being able to proceed with registration.

If you are an international student you will be sent documents to complete. Once these have been completed, they need to be submitted along with all other relevant required documents.

The Global Engagement Office will then send this documentation to the NWU registration office for processing.

Once captured, you will be notified and can then proceed with the registration process as described above.
