North West University, also known as NWU, prides itself in promoting unity and being a part of something bigger. They give rise to equity, redress and globally competitive teaching and research. 

NWU is part of the bigger plan to transform higher education.

At NWU, community is important and they aim to serve and provide according to the needs of the community. Amongst it's many processes of transformation, NWU also provides gender awareness and a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community while solving relevant matters. 

They offer Undergraduate studies, Postgraduate studies, Distance Learning and Short Courses. 

The University has three campuses, namely: Mafikeng Campus, Potchefstroom Campus and the Vaal Triangle Campus.

If you have applied to NWU and are awaiting a response you can now verify your final application status based on your matric results. 

How To Check Your NWU Application Status

  1. Go to https://vssweb.nwu.ac.za/aaa-webclient/StudentWebCommand.do?sf=143380&lng=3#/top
  2. Then proceed to log in by entering your student number in the "University Number" field and your password in "PIN" field. 
  3. Then Click "Login"
  4. Your application status will then be displayed.
