How To Log Into MyNWU

A number of universities have online tools that students can use to access their information anytime and anywhere. One of these tools includes a student email that is mainly used as for internal communication in the institution.

There are at least 26 public universities in the country, spread across all nine provinces.

The North-West University (NWU) a multi-campus university with a footprint across two provinces, the Mahikeng and Potchefstroom campuses are situated in the North-West province whilst the Vanderbijlpark Campus is in Gauteng. 

It is mandatory for the university's students to be able to access their information and also make use of the institution's communication anywhere.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to log in to your MyNWU student email account:

  1. Go to the NWU website 
  2. Click on the "Current Students" tab.
  3. Click on the "MyNWU" option from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter your student number and password, and then click on the "Sign In" button.
  5. Click on the "Email" icon located on the right-hand side of the page.
  6. You will be redirected to your MyNWU student email account.

Once you have diligently followed these instructions, you will then be successfully logged in to your MyNWU student email account.

Students are encouraged to provide their NWU Microsoft email address, as the official email address for communication from the NWU and this can be done during the registration process or by clicking here.

The NWU email address is only active if a student is affiliated with the institution, and this email address provides a student access to the Microsoft 365 suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Should you need any assistance regarding the NWU student email, it is advisable that you contact your IT Service Desk: MahikengPotchefstroom, or Vanderbijlpark.

Which Qualifications Does North West University Offer?

North West University (NWU) offers a wide range of qualifications, including undergraduate degrees, postgraduate degrees, diplomas, and certificates.

These qualifications are offered across various faculties, such as the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Commerce and Administration, the Faculty of Education and Training, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Some of the qualifications offered by NWU include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Business Administration, Master of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy, among many others.
