How To Submit Your North West University Application

The North West University (NWU) was established 18 years ago when two universities were merged. This university has three campuses spread in two provinces in South Africa, with applications opening annually for a new intake of students.

The North West University has online applications for their undergraduate, postgraduate, and Open Distance Learning (ODL).

To get started with your applications, click here.

Follow these steps for your application:

  1. Create a university a university log-in by filling in all of your details.
  2. Then click submit at the bottom.
  3. The system will automatically generate a university number for you to use when logging in to their university portal.
  4. When logging in, enter both the university number and pin.
  5. Thereafter, you may proceed with your application.

The university's website is best viewed through the Mozilla Firefox web browser.

As part of the selection criteria, the academic achievement of Grade 11 (final) or Grade12 (June or final) results are looked at and the best candidates are selected.
