As you check your R350 grant application status, you might be confused about what you're seeing. We're here to help so here's what 'Active' means.

If you've submitted your SRD grant application, 'Active' might be the first application status that you see.

This means that SASSA has received your application and the waiting game then begins. To this, SASSA has said to wait for your application outcome from them.

SASSA has opened various ways to track your R350 grant application. They have made it possible for you to do a R350 grant status check through WhatsApp, online or even by calling them.

Applications for the R350 grant will be open until March 2022. If you applied once, you don't need to apply again and SASSA will just review your application every month.

The SRD grant was created to assist unemployed individuals during the pandemic should they not have any other source of income or grants being paid to them.
