1. The following certificates are accepted:

  • The “Old Senior” certificate
  • The National Senior Certificate “NSC”
  • National Certificate Vocational “NCV”
  • N6 certificate
  • Current grade 12 learners must upload grade 11 final results and first quarter or mid-year results if available.
  • Post-matric candidates must upload a matric or equivalent certificate, academic record, copy of ID or passport.

Transfer students

Students transferring from another tertiary institution must submit the following documents:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Post-matric certificate;
  • Identity document;
  • Official academic report;
  • Conduct certificate

International applicants

International applicants need to first apply to Universities South Africa (Usaf) for evaluation of school results or other degree/diploma certificates.

When they receive  the results from Usaf they may commence with the application process and upload the results and the copy of your passport.

Step 5: Double-check all the information provided and ensure that the required documents are attached.

Step 6: Submit your WSU application. 

After successfully completing the application, all communication will be sent to the email address provided

Once you have applied to the South African university, you should receive a response from them a couple of days after the application closing date. However, if you still did not receive feedback from the university, you may track your application by following these steps:

If you're looking at universities in South Africa, universities such as North West University and Stellenbosch University are not examples of a university of technology.
