False Bay College aims to be the leading TVET College in the country. Their mission is to empower their students to become assets to society and have lifelong access to education.

Study options

False Bay TVET College offers study options for those who have completed high school as well as for those who have not.

Students who have completed grade 9, but have not yet completed grade 12 have the option of doing the National Certificate Vocational (NCV). Students can complete their NCV in fields such as engineering, IT and business studies.

For those who have completed their grade 12, they can apply for the National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in fields like engineering and business studies.

Maritime studies

False Bay TVET College also specialises in maritime studies. They offer courses in yachting boat building, rigging and transport and logistics. 

False Bay College Campuses

False Bay TVET College has campuses located in Khayelitsha, Mitchell's Plain, Westlake, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg. Each campus specialises in a different field of study. 

Financial aid options

Each campus has a bursary officer who can assist students in need of financial aid by helping them apply for the Nsfas funding option. Students can also apply for the Nsfas bursary funding through the online portal.

All applicants will need to do is supply the necessary documentation such as proof of registration, proof of address and proof that they have an annual household income of less than R350 000.

Students who want to apply to study at False Bay TVET College can do so by submitting their applications online on the college website following the step-by-step process. 

Students who are unable to apply online can contact the campus they wish to apply at and make an appointment. The campus can then assist the student as they complete the application process. 

When applying online, make sure to follow the step-by-step process to avoid skipping any steps. 

It is important that students who have been accepted, accept the offer letter within five days and follow the instructions in the offer letter.
