How To Track Your Northlink College Application On Northlink Student Portal

Northlink College is one of South Africa’s 50 TVET Colleges that are dedicated to the training and education of the nation’s future workforce. If you have applied to earn practical training and skills development at Northlink College, you'll have to track your application.

Northlink College has been committed to equipping South African students with the necessary training and skills they would need to enter the working world since the year 2002. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college is situated in the North of Cape Town and is a merger (or linkage) between a number of former colleges.

Their educational operations are also said to link theoretical education and practical world experience. Hence, the name Northlink College. The college aims to accommodate students in whatever method of study suits them best, offering online/distance learning and in-person studies which can be taken on a full-time or part-time basis.

How To Apply 

Students who are applying to the college for the very first time must take the following steps.

Northlink Student Portal

  1. Visit the Northlink College website and click on the ‘Apply’ tab.
  2. Select ‘no’ on all the prompts, before accepting the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) clause. Click ‘Next’.
  3. Add your biographical details and make sure to fill in each prompt that is marked with in asterisk (*). Click ‘Next’.
  4. Add your next of kin details. Click ‘Next’.
  5. Add your academic results, but do not add your Life Orientation results. Click ‘Next’.
  6. Add your educational institution background. Click ‘Next’.
  7. Add information about what programme you’re applying for. Click ‘Next’.
  8. You will then be shown all the application details that you filled in on one page. Ensure that all the details are correct before clicking ‘Continue’.
  9. You will then be redirected to a page where you will be requested to create a five-digit login pin and accept the Rules and Agreement. Click ‘Submit Application’ once done.
  10. You will receive an email with your student number and the pin you just created. Remember this information as these will be your login details to your iEnabler Northlink account.
  11. Once you have logged into your Northlink account, you will note that although your details have been captured, you will have to upload your supporting documents.
  12. After you have uploaded and saved your documents, click ‘Complete Upload’.
  13. You will then be redirected to a confirmation page, confirming your uploads. Click ‘Exit’ to leave the page and complete your application. 

Note that if the application link is not working, it is due to the fact that applications are not open. You will need to try again once applications are opened once more, so keep an eye out on those dates.

How to Track Your Northlink Application Status

Now that you’ve got the application out of the way, you will have to wait for a response about the outcome of your application by the university.

The wait period can be anxiety-inducing though, and you might want to track your application progress yourself.

Northlink Ienabler Login Status Check

To do so you must:

  1. Login to your iEnabler account using your Student number and pin.
  2. You will be able to see your application progress there on the website any time after you have submitted it.

Northlink Student Portal

Students can expect responses to the applications about four-to-eight weeks after the application closing date. You can view details of your application on the Northlink student portal.
