The Road Accident Fund provides a vital service to accident victims, and now they are recruiting for three different internships that are available now.

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for its 2026 internships. This 12-month internship offers young graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while developing practical skills in medical management, administration and stakeholder engagement.

The internships are for:

  • People Management

  • Adjudication Backlog

  • Litigation and Mediation

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend while working alongside experienced professionals at the RAF's Head Office.

About The RAF Internship

The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to people affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits. As part of its commitment to youth skills development, the organisation offers internship opportunities that equip graduates with practical workplace experience.

Skills And Competencies

The Road Accident Fund is looking for candidates who demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and attention to detail.

Applicants should be eager to learn, self-motivated and possess basic computer skills. The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a professional environment will be beneficial.

Candidates with a medico-legal background or an understanding of managed healthcare or clinical experience will have an added advantage.

RAF Internship Stipend

Successful applicants will participate in the 12-month internship programme and receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the internship.

Applications for the Road Accident Fund Medical Management Internship close on 12 August 2026. Graduates who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date to avoid missing this opportunity to gain valuable work experience within one of South Africa's key public sector organisations.
