Millions of people are set to receive Sassa grant payments in February 2025. The South African social security agency which we know as sassa has confirmed when social grant beneficiaries will receive their social grants.

Grants distributed by Sassa include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

Sassa is also responsible for the social relief of distress grant, which we know as the SRD grant or R370 Sassa grant.

Sassa Grant Dates For February 2025

Sassa typically pays permanent social grants during the first week of the month, starting from the second working day. It’s important to note that Sassa does not process payments on weekends or public holidays.

For February 2025, Sassa grant payments will begin on 4 February, starting with older persons' grants. All other social grant payments will follow.

Here are the Sassa grant payment dates for February 2025:

  • Older Persons Grant: 4 February 2025
  • Disability Grants: 5 February 2025
  • Children’s Grants: 6 February 2025

SRD Grant Payment Dates For February 2025

R370 Sassa grant payments are usually made during the last week of the month. 

Sassa has announced that SRD grant payments for February will take place from 22 February until 28 February 2025.

Sassa Grant Collection Points

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.

Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer stores.

Sassa has said that there is no need to rush to withdraw the Sassa money on the first day because once the money is paid, it will stay in your bank account.
