Millions of people receive social grant payments from Sassa. Here's the grant payment dates for February 2025.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has revealed the grant payment dates for February 2025. This is important information for the millions of people living in South Africa who receive social grant payments. 

Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid. This is in addition to the approximately 8 million individuals who receive the temporary Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. 

Sassa Grant Payment Dates

  • Older Persons Grant: 4 February 2025
  • Disability Grants: 5 February 2025
  • Children’s Grants: 6 February 2025

Grant Payment Amounts for 2025

The current grant amounts, as confirmed by Sassa, are:

  • Older Persons Grant: R2,190 (R2,210 for recipients aged 75 and above)
  • Disability Grant: R2,190
  • War Veterans Grant: R2,210
  • Care Dependency Grant: R2,190
  • Foster Care Grant: R1,180
  • Child Support Grant: R530
  • Child Support Grant (Top-Up): R530 + R250

SRD Grant Payment Dates For February

Payments for the R370 SRD Grant will be processed between 22 February and 28 February 2025.

Beneficiaries can check their SRD status on the official SRD website to see their grant payment date.
