The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has confirmed the grant payment dates for the beginning of 2025.  This is important information for millions of financially vulnerable people living in South Africa. 

Every month, the Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

Sassa Confirms Grant Payment Dates For Beginning Of 2025

January 2025 - Sassa Dates

  • Older Peoples Grant - 3 January 2025
  • Disability Grants - 6 January 2025
  • Children's Grants - 7 January 2025

February 2025 - Sassa Dates

  • Older Peoples Grant - 4 February 2025
  • Disability Grants - 5 February 2025
  • Children's Grants - 6 February 2025

March 2025 - Sassa Dates

  • Older Peoples Grant - 4 March 2025
  • Disability Grants - 5 March 2025
  • Children's Grants - 6 March 2025

Sassa Grant Amounts

  • Older Persons Grant – R2,190
  • Older Persons (75 years and older) – R2,210
  • Disability Grant – R2,190
  • War Veterans Grant – R2,210
  • Child Support Grant – R530
  • Care Dependency Grant – R2,190
  • Foster Care Grant – R1,180
  • Child Support Grant (Top-Up) – R530 + R250
  • SRD Grant – R370

Grant payment dates beyond March 2025 are set to be published by Sassa in 2025.
