The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has received the grant payment dates for November 2024. This is critical information for more than 18 million grant recipients living in South Africa. 

Sassa distributes more than 18 million permanent grant payments monthly, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up, and Grant-in-aid.

  • Older Persons Grant - 5 November 2024
  • Disability Grants - 6 November 2024
  • Children's Grants - 7 November 2024

How Much Sassa Grants Will Be For November 2024

  • Older Persons grant - R2,190
  • Older Persons (75 years and older) - R2,210
  • Disability grant - R2,190
  • War Veterans grant - R2,210
  • Child Support Grant - R530
  • Care Dependency grant - R2,190
  • Foster Care grant - R1,180
  • Child Support grant (Top-up) - R530 + R250
  • SRD Grant - R370

Where To Collect Your Sassa Grant

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account. Beneficiaries can also collect their social grants at several payment points, including ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer.

Sassa Confirms SRD Grant Payment Dates For October 2024

 

New Sassa Card 

In September 2024, Postbank announced that the new black Mzansi Debit Card will replace the Sassa gold card, previously issued to social grant beneficiaries.

Postbank is urging Sassa grant beneficiaries to collect their new Postbank Black Cards as soon as possible and avoid waiting until the last minute. Beneficiaries can collect their cards during store hours.

How to Find a Card Replacement Location

  1. Dial 120218*3#
  2. Select option 1
  3. Choose your province

A list of locations issuing new cards will be provided.

What to Bring

  • A valid ID or temporary ID.
  • If collecting on behalf of someone, bring the Sassa proxy letter.
  • Asylum seekers need to bring their official Sassa approval letter.

It's important to note that Sassa gold cards will remain active in November 2024 and Sassa grant payments will be unaffected.
