Postbank has launched the Mzansi Debit Card to provide affordable banking solutions to all South Africans. This new offering is available to beneficiaries of the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) grants.
Sassa distributes several permanent grants aimed at assisting financially vulnerable individuals in South Africa.
Grants distributed by Sassa include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid. Sassa is also responsible for the Social Relief of Distress grant, which we know as the SRD grant or R370 Sassa grant.
Postbank announced that the new black Mzansi Debit Card will replace the Sassa gold card, previously issued to social grant beneficiaries.
Sassa beneficiaries in Gauteng are encouraged to collect their new Sassa Postbank Black Card.
The initial rollout of the Sassa Postbank Black Card will begin in Gauteng, with card issuance facilitated at select Boxer and Pick n Pay stores across the province.
