How To Get Your Year-End Matric Results For the November 2024 Final Matric Exams
Get Your Matric Results Online
You can get your Matric Results Online via the government website.
The Department of Basic Education will have all the exam results - including results for each subject - available on their website.
Here are the steps that you will need to take:
Step 1: Visit the Department of Basic Education website
Step 2: Enter your examination number
Step 3: Fill in your personal details
Step 4: Click on "Search"
Step 5: Your Matric results will be displayed
Gauteng Learners Can Get Matric Results Online
The GDE Introduced the GPGMatricApp. The webpage will allow Grade 12 learners in Gauteng to access their matric results as soon as they become available.

Gauteng learners can also get their matric results from https://results.gauteng.gov.za/
Gauteng Education Department website says that results will be available from midnight on the 18th of January.
Western Cape Learners Can Get Matric Results Online
The Western Cape Education Department will make their matric results available online from 11am on the 19th of January on the WCED website.
Matric Results From Your High School
If you can travel to your high school where you wrote your Matric exams you will be able to access your matric exams marks there from 11:55am on the 19th of January 2024.
Get Your Matric Results Via SMS
- Send your examination number to 45856
- You’ll get a confirmation SMS once you’ve successfully registered.
- SMSes cost R1.50 and free SMSes don’t apply
- Get your matric results immediately when they are released
Get Matric Results Via USSD Service
- Dial *120*45856# and enter your exam number to register.
- Your exam results will then be sent to your phone once they are available.
- The USSD service will be charged R1.50 per minute.
Get Your Matric Results From Newspapers
There was a legal battle going on about whether matric results will be published in newspapers as they have been in previous years. The latest news is that the November 2024 Matric results will be available in national newspapers. For privacy reasons names are not published in the newspaper - only exam numbers. So make sure you have your exam number to hand.
