It's time for the Matriculants to receive their Matric results. We are all rooting for you! Although it was a tough year for the Matriculants, they still managed to complete the school year. Here's how to receive your matric results.

Be the first to receive your Matric results. There are various ways which you can view your matric results. so here is information on the different ways you can view your Matric results.

How To Retrieve Your Matric Results

On The Phone

  • Register using the USSD code *120*45856# and exam number. Your matric results will then be sent to your phone once they are available.
  • Or you can SMS your exam number to 45856.
  • Each SMS costs R1.50 and free SMSes cannot be used.

Online

  • Visit the Department of Education website and visit their matric results page of the website.
  • Enter your examination number and other personal details required, such as your ID number.
  • Click the search button and your results will come up.

School

You can visit your High School on the day that matric results are released to view your matric results. Matric results should be available from 11:00 am.

Newspaper

Various Newspaper companies have made the matric results available to view through different forms of media. Matriculants can check the newspaper and search for their exam number or they could visit the newspaper's website and navigate to the matric results tab. They will need to fill in their matric exam number and school name to view their matric results on the newspapers website.

MatricsMate App

  • Download the MatricsMate app from Google Play Store or Apple Play Store
  • Enter your 13 digit ID number and examination number.
  • You will then be able to view the matric results as soon as they are available.

Gauteng Matric Results Online

Gauteng has come up with an innovative way to view your matric results. They have made an app available for download called the GPG Matric app. You can then access your matric results using your smartphone or any device with an internet connection. Learn More 

The Department of Basic Education have been preparing the release of the NSC Results for the Matriculants. The learners will be able to get their matric results statements at their schools. The release of the matric results have been approved by Umalusi, the Quality Council in General and Further Education and Training.
