It's Matric results time again! The IEB matric results will be first when they are released on the 18th January. Then the Minister of Basic Education, Minister Angie Motshekge will announce the national and provincial pass rate figures on the evening of the 18th January.  Learners will receive their individual results the following day at around 12 noon.

Matric Results are calculated like this, your school tasks count as 25% of your mark and the end of year Final Matric Exam counts as 75%. Matric Results are available in a number of ways. You can get your Matric Results Online, at school, via cellphone, in the newspaper and using the MatricsMate app.

As well as celebrating the success of the top Matric students in the country, the Basic Education Department also compiles data on Matric exam performance of all schools in the country. The information is shared with the public in an annual report.
