Welcome to our Matric section. We are here to help you through this exciting, but stressful, year.

The anxiety of waiting for your results may play on your mind until the day they are released. However, in recent years the Gauteng Department of Education  (GDE) has allowed matriculants to access their results before they are given to these learners at school.

The GDE Introduced the GPGMatricApp. The webpage will allow Grade 12 learners in Gauteng to access their matric results as soon as they become available.

Here’s how to use the GPGMatricApp

Step 1: Visit the GPGMarticAPP website by clicking HERE
Step 2: Enter your examination number

Once you do this, you will be able to see your results if they are available. It is likely the results will only become available closer to the date when the results are released towards the end of January 2022.

Marking of Grade 12 scripts is currently taking place at 193 centres located in South Africa’s 9 provinces. Around 41 500 markers were appointed to mark the scripts.

Director-General of the DBE Mathanzima Mweli is currently embarking on a journey around South Africa to address matric exam markers. He has thanked those who he has visited so far for the sacrifices they are making during the current wave of Covid-19 infections. He has also pleaded with them to observe all health and safety protocols.

A total of 897 786 candidates participated in the five-week long NSC examinations. Of the more than 890 000 candidates who participated, 735 677 were full-time candidates while 162 109 were part-time candidates.

The Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga will be announcing the Class of 2021 Grade 12 results on 22 January  2022 and learners will receive their individual results on 21 January 2022.
