Once you have enrolled at the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) you will be able to access your chosen module's lecture timetable. Lecture timetables will inform students about when and where lectures will take place.

This will be beneficial for students, as it will allow them to manage their time at university more efficiently and ensure that they get the best out of their learning experience.

Here is how you can access your NMU timetable:

  1. Visit the NMU Website and navigate to the Module Timetable Page
  2. Select your term eg. Term 1/Term 2/Term 3/Term 4
  3. Enter your module code eg. WSW101 or pick a module from the drop-down at the bottom of the page

Once you have done the above steps, your timetable for your chosen module will be displayed which will indicate how many lectures there will be in the day and at what time these lectures will commence.

Following the merge of the PE Technikon, the University of Port Elizabeth (UPE) and the Port Elizabeth campus of Vista University (Vista PE), the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) was created and opened on 1 January 2005.

The government’s countrywide restructuring of higher education led to the union of these institutions in an effort to deliver a more equitable and efficient education system.

NMU has more than 500 study programmes in 7 faculties with 9 campuses in the cities of Port Elizabeth and George.

As the university carries Nelson Mandela's name, they set out on a mission to honour his legacy by providing innovative higher learning which makes them one of the leading universities in South Africa.
