The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has been tasked with distributing social grants on the Department of Social Development’s behalf since 2005. They have a number of branches all over the country for people who are in need of grant applications, or who have grant-related queries, to visit. The following is a list of branches on location in Mpumalanga.

SASSA issues grants including disability grants, grants for the elderly (pension), child support grants, social relief grants, care dependency grants, Grants-in-Aid, war veteran's grants, foster child grants, and as of the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been issuing grants for the unemployed. 

Although the grants cannot be physically collected from SASSA branches, people can apply for grants at these branches and present any other queries for which answers cannot easily be found online.
