The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the grant payment dates for the month of May 2025. These payment dates inform more than 18 million people when they will receive their social grant payments.

South Africa Sassa Grants Payments Dates

The South African agency Sassa distributes several different permanent grants to people living in SA each month. Permanent grants distributed by Sassa include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

Sassa’s grant payment policy is to pay grants on consecutive days so they will be made from the 6th to the 8th of May 2025.

This means that in May 2025, beneficiaries of disability and children’s grant will have to wait until the second week of their month to receive their grant payment.
