The Central Application Clearing House (CACH) will close on 31 March 2025. This means that students have less than 24 hours to sign up for CACH and be considered for university or college placement in 2025.

The (CACH) service for 2025 will be open from 8am on 20 January 2025 until 31 March 2025.

CACH is run by South Africa's Department of Higher Education and Training, and helps students who didn't receive offers from their initial university or college applications.

Whether you applied on time but were unsuccessful, or your final Grade 12 results have now made you eligible, CACH offers a second chance to find available study spaces.

It's a useful resource for students seeking further education or training, as it connects them with institutions that still have openings.

How To Sign Up For CACH

  • Step 1: Visit the CACH Website: Go to the official CACH website
  • Step 2: Navigate to the Sign-Up Section: Locate the sign-up section on the website's homepage.
  • Step 3: Complete the Registration Form: Fill out the registration form with accurate personal and academic information. Ensure all details are entered correctly to avoid any issues during the application process.

No documents are required as CACH receives matric results from the Department of Basic Education.

Once students sign up on the CACH system, no further application is needed and institutions will contact students directly.
