The Central Application Clearing House (CACH) 2025 application period recently opened, and many prospective students submitted placement applications. The service provider has revealed how long students can sign up for CACH

It's a service provided by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) that helps students who didn't get accepted to any of their chosen institutions. This includes those who applied on time but didn't receive offers and those who now qualify based on their final Grade 12 results.

CACH also offers a second chance to apply for available spaces.

CACH is a valuable tool for students seeking post-secondary education or training opportunities in South Africa. It provides a centralised platform to connect with institutions that have available spaces, increasing the chances of finding a suitable programme.

CACH Application Closing Date For 2025 Confirmed

CACH applications will close on 31 March 2025. Students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure maximum chances of placement.

CACH is a government service that is free for both students and institutions.

While CACH helps connect students with opportunities, it doesn't guarantee placement as institutions make the final selection.

How To Sign Up For CACH

  • Step 1: Visit the CACH Website: Go to the official CACH website
  • Step 2: Navigate to the Sign-Up Section: Locate the sign-up section on the website's homepage.
  • Step 3: Complete the Registration Form: Fill out the registration form with accurate personal and academic information. Ensure all details are entered correctly to avoid issues during the application process.

No documents are required as CACH receives matric results from the Department of Basic Education.

Once students sign up on the CACH system, no further application is needed and institutions will contact students directly.
