The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) is a private education assessment and certification body in South Africa. It is an alternative to the state-run National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination and is written by learners at private schools that are members of the IEB.

The IEB uses a different grading system than the NSC, with a higher emphasis on continuous assessment throughout the year, as opposed to a single final exam. The IEB results include an overall percentage, as well as subject percentages and symbols, ranging from A+ to E.

IEB matric results are highly regarded by universities in South Africa and abroad, and are recognised for their academic rigor and high standards. Many learners who write the IEB exams go on to attend top universities in South Africa and overseas.

Now, the IEB has announced that matric remark results will be released today.

How To View Your IEB Matric Remark Results

Pupils will be able to find their results online using the IEB website when they are released.

Results can also be accessed through SMS. If the IEB has been provided with your cellphone number, your results will automatically be sent to the number provided.
