The Department of Basic Education (DBE) confirmed that youth interested in applying for teaching assistant jobs must register on the SAYouth.mobi platform. The zero-rated platform allows youth to create a CV and be considered for available job vacancies in South Africa.
More than 200,000 jobs will be available in Phase 5 of the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI). Each one of the teaching assistant jobs will be filled by a young person who registered on SAYouth.mobi and created a CV on the platform.
Teaching assistant applications for phase 5 open on 22 April 2025, and are aimed at those aged 18-34.
