If you are a matriculant or a student interested in a career in nursing but you aren't sure whether or not you qualify, we have what you need. There are various different institutions all over South Africa to assist you in gaining your qualification in nursing.

Nursing is a faculty that is always good to go into when you are good at working with people, and enjoy caring for them. 

Nurses play a very big role in society and what they do is very important for the world.

If you wish to study nursing there are specific that you need to have had in matric in order to qualify.

The required subjects are:

  • Mathematics
  • English 
  • Life Science
  • Life Orientation 
  • Any other African Language 

There is a wide variety of universities and colleges that offer qualifications in nursing, so do your research to figure which is the best fit for you.

Your Admissions Point Score (APS) will help you find out whether or not you qualify to study study and where or which programmes are suitable for you. 

For most universities a minimum APS of 21 points is needed for admission, but you'll find that certain universities require a higher score than others.
