The University of Stellenbosch, like other institutions of higher education, has opened its online portals for students to register themselves for the 2024 academic year.
Stellenbosch University Registration Dates
- Online registration for senior undergraduate (excluding transferring students) and postgraduate students: 15 January - 8 February
- Online registration for newcomer first-year students: 25 January - 8 February
- On-campus assisted registration for senior students (including transferring students) on Stellenbosch Campus: 29 January – 1 February 2024
- On-campus assisted registration of newcomer first-years (excluding transferring students) on Stellenbosch Campus: 5 – 6 February 2024
- On-campus extended assisted registration for senior students (including transferring students) on Stellenbosch Campus: 6 – 8 February 2024
The university academic year usually kicks off on 12 February. Stellenbosch has said that they can't guarantee space at the university if the student didn't register on time.
The university constructed the registration schedule for new and incoming first-year students who require help with registering, and includes relevant dates, faculties, programmes and opening times.
An assisted registration schedule for senior/returning Stellenbosch students has also been constructed.
How To Register
Online registrations are done using the self-registration (e-registration) process which is available on the SUNStudent system.
Here's how:
- Visit the SU website
- Click on 'Registration and Fees' to find the link to the portal marked 'Register Online'
- Log on to the Registration Portal
- Select the 'I agree to the Terms & Conditions and the Qualifications/Programme Status’
- Click on the 'Accept and Continue' button
- Complete the Health Passport
- Fill in the required fields with the relevant information
- Register for the academic period
- Register for the academic modules
