You should always keep the username and password of your MyNSFAS account confidential and shouldn't share them with anyone else. The other important thing is to remember your password.

How To Reset NSFAS Password To Unlock User Profile

If you want to reset your myNSFAS portal password, here is what you should do.

  1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Click myNSFAS account
  3. Click 'forgot password'
  4. Type in your ID number to check your NSFAS status
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • I can't remember my username
    • I can't remember my password
    • I can't remember my username and password
  6. Choose the relevant option
  7. Click 'submit'
  8. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
  9. Check your cellphone or email for the OTP. This OTP is only valid for 24 hours
  10. Type the OTP number in the provided block
  11. Click 'submit'
  12. A link to reset your login details will be sent to you via email and SMS
  13. Click on the link that was received through SMS or email 
  14. Follow the reset process
  15. Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
  16. Click 'submit'

And you're done. You should now have a new password set on your MyNSFAS account.
