Teaching and General Assistant opportunities that are made available through the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) are due to return soon. Here is what participating candidates need to do in order to benefit from the initiative.

The Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI), which is being implemented in the Basic Education Sector, aims to give young people the chance to learn and earn. It is designed to assist young people’s livelihoods and acts as a means of addressing South Africa's high rates of youth unemployment.

If you are among those who are interested in being part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative in schools, it has recently been announced that there will be more opportunities for teaching and general assistants in the next few months.

Prospective applicants have been reminded to ensure that they have updated their details online by visiting the PYEI’s website: http://sayouth.mobi. When doing so, applicants can update or reset their password by following the step-by-step process.

How To Reset Your Password On SAYouth 

  1. Visit sayouth.mobi
  2. Click on ‘Login’
  3. Click on ‘I forgot my username/password: Reset with SMS (only works if you have the same phone you used to register)Reset with e-mail (only works if you registered with the same email address)Reset with my security question (only available if you’ve set it up on your last visit)
  4. Open the link and reset your password

Participating candidates have been urged to ensure that they have registered on sayouth.mobi, know and remember their password and that their address and contact information is correct.
