The University of South Africa (Unisa) has confirmed that all examination results for the 2023 October/November exams have been released. However, there are results for one module that is yet to be released.
Please note that all Unisa examination results for the October/November 2023 exams have been released.
Students enrolled in the HMPYC80 module are yet to receive their examination results. The results for this module will be available on Thursday, 18 January 2024.
The only exception is the HMPYC80 module, which is scheduled for release by 18 January 2024.
Unisa revealed that all other results that have not been released are due to non-adherence to examination results. The country’s largest distance-learning university has strict examination rules aimed at protecting the integrity of results.
All other results were withheld due to non-adherence to the university’s examination rules.
Students whose results are being withheld were provided with an opportunity to submit an appeal. It was revealed that almost 13,000 students submitted appeals to the university.
The affected students were afforded an opportunity to appeal, and 12 975 students subsequently appealed.
Unisa is currently working to finalise all the appeal submissions it received from students. Students can expect to receive feedback on their appeals by the end of January 2024.
The university is now finalising the appeal outcomes and is left with providing feedback for the outstanding 2 800 appeals. We are planning to have all appeal outcomes released by 30 January 2024.
Students are advised to read the issued notice for the next actions to take by the outcomes of their final results.
Students have also been encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Unisa examination rules before the commencement of the January/February 2024 examinations to prevent any irregularities and ensure their results are not withheld by the university.
As we ready ourselves for the commencement of the Jan/Feb 2024 examination season, we implore students to read the examination rules and act with integrity at all times. The invigilation systems are in place to uphold the integrity of the university’s assessment processes and qualifications.
Unisa has wished all its students well in preparation for the upcoming examinations.
