The University of South Africa (Unisa) has extended the deadline for Master's and Doctoral qualification applications for the 2024 academic year to 31 January 2024. This extension provides prospective students with an additional period to finalise their 2024 Unisa applications.
Students are encouraged to take this opportunity and apply as soon as possible, as qualifications will be removed from the application list once all available spaces for the 2024 academic year are filled.
Every student interested in enrolling in Master's and Doctoral programmes must submit a Unisa 2024 application. This includes first-time applicants, current Unisa students seeking a new qualification, individuals in their final year of a qualification aspiring to start a Master's or Doctoral programme, and previously registered students wanting to resume their studies after skipping the 2023 academic year.
It's important to note that applicants can apply for only one qualification at the Master's and Doctoral levels. Unisa urges prospective students to ensure they meet the minimum admission requirements for the chosen qualification before commencing the application process.
A Unisa student number is required for students wanting to join the Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL), unless they have previously studied at Unisa towards a formal qualification. The application process for GSBL qualifications should be completed online.
Individuals seeking clarification on matters related to Master's and Doctoral programmes can contact [email protected], while GSBL students are advised to reach out to the relevant email addresses: [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].
Applicants are reminded that they can only apply for the qualifications listed on the Master's and Doctoral application website. If a qualification does not appear on the application website, it will not be offered for the 2024 academic year. If a qualification is listed on the website but not on the online application platform, it means that there are no available spaces, and students can apply during the next application period.
