Millions of people in South Africa rely on government grants. Sassa has provided a schedule for all grant payments in October 2024.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) distributes social grants to more than 28 million people living in the country. Here’s when grants will be paid in October 2024. 

Permanent grants distributed by Sassa include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

The grant payment agency has revealed when grants will be distributed to its millions of beneficiaries. 

Sassa Payment Dates For October 2024

  • Older Persons Grant - 2 October 2024
  • Disability Grants - 3 October 2024
  • Children's Grants - 4 October 2024

Here’s How Much Sassa Grants Will Be For October 

  • Older Persons grant - R2,190
  • Older Persons (75 years and older) - R2,210
  • Disability grant - R2,190
  • War Veterans grant - R2,210
  • Care Dependency grant - R2,190
  • Foster Care grant - R1,180
  • Child Support Grant - R530
  • Child Support Grant Top-up - R530 + R250

SRD Grant Payment Dates For October 2024 

The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is paid to more than 9 million people every month. However, beneficiaries of these grants are not paid by Sassa when permanent grants are paid. 

While Sassa has not provided SRD grant payment dates for October 2024, the grant is usually paid in the final week of the month.
