Now that we are in the month of December, Sassa grant beneficiaries are awaiting their grant payments. Millions of South Africans receive social grants, including the Sassa child grant.

Millions of people are set to receive Sassa grant payments in December 2024. Grants distributed by Sassa include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

What is the Sassa child grant?

Sassa provides financial assistance in the form of Child Grants. Sassa child grants include the Child Support Grant, Care Dependency grant and the Foster Care Grant.

These are there to assist individuals under the age of 18 who are in need of financial assistance.

Sassa Child Grant December 2024 Payment Dates

For December 2024, Children's Grants and other linked grants will be paid on 5 December. However, it's important to remember that once the money is paid, it will stay in your account.

Sassa Child Grant December 2024 Values

For December, the Care Dependency grant will be R2,190, the Foster Care grant will be R1,180, the child support grant will be R530 with the child support grant top up being R250.

Where To Collect Sassa Child Grant December 2024 Payment

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.

Sassa Grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer stores.
