The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) disburses social grants to vulnerable South Africans who need financial assistance. We are now heading towards December and you might be curious about the Sassa grant payment dates for December 2024.

Sassa Dates For December 2024
Sassa usually pays permanent social grants in the first week of the month, starting on the second working day of the month. It’s important to remember that Sassa grant payments don't take place on weekends and public holidays.
For December 2024, Sassa grant payments will begin on Tuesday, 3 December, starting with older persons' grants. All other social grant payments will follow throughout the first week of December.

There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.
How Much Sassa Grants Will Be For December 2024
Older Persons grants will be R2,190 while Older Persons grants for people 75 years and older) will be R2,210.
Disability grants will be R2,190, War Veterans grant will be R2,210, Care Dependency grant will be R2,190 and the Foster Care grant will be R1,180.
The child support grant will be R530 with the child support grant top up being R250 and the SRD grant payment for December 2024 will be R370.
Where To Collect Sassa Grants
Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.
Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer stores.
