The University of Free State registration is open for some programmes for the 2021 academic year. Due to the restrictions put in place because of the Covid-19 pandemic, registration will be taking place online.

The 2021 registration for the University of the Free State (UFS) will be taking place online for first year, senior, and postgraduate students.

This is happening due to the lockdown restrictions put in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. UFS says that this is done in the best interests of all the staff and students at the university. If you have been accepted by UFS and need to register take note of the following dates.

Online registration for Faculty of Health Sciences students has opened on 11 January and will be closing on 22 January.

Online registration and orientation in all other faculties for senior and postgraduate students will be running from 8 to 26 February 2021.

Online registration and orientation for first-year students will be running from 1 to 13 March 2021.

The university will be continuing the online/blending learning and teaching approach for the first semester of 2021 for first-year and senior students however students in the Faculty of Health Sciences and the South Campus and sub-region students may follow a different approach.
