The University of Zululand (UniZulu) was established more than six decades ago, and has two campuses located approximately 28 km apart.

The university has since grown to offer a number of qualifications to more than 15,000 full time and part time students in the faculties of Science, Agriculture and Engineering; Commerce, Administration and Law; Education and Humanities and Social Sciences.

If you aspire to be a student in fields of study that are in one of the six faculties, then you should consider submitting your application at this public university.

Follow these seven steps to submit your application:

  1. Go to Central Applications Office website
  2. Click Apply
  3. Click Apply Now
  4. Complete the forms by providing all the required information
  5. Choose University of Zululand
  6. Upload your supporting documents
  7. Click Submit

The CAO will only accept one application form from you for a specific entry year and term. If you have already submitted an application form, it is best that you do not submit a duplicate application via the Internet.

This means that you pay R250 for South Africans citizens and R300 for international applicants and this will cover all the applications done for all Universities in the province, using CAO.

Have your school and tertiary study details handy before you start

UniZulu will notify selected candidates via sms notices, emails and the official University Offer letter.

Alternatively, you may also contact the Admissions Office on 035 902 6178/6030/6051/6234/6361.

If you have aspirations to study at this institution but finances are in the way of realising your dreams, it is advisable that you keep an eye on when the National Student Financial Aid Scheme will open its cycle of applications.
