Mediclinic Southern Africa offers accredited nursing training programmes through its Higher Education and Training institution, providing structured pathways for individuals aspiring to enter the nursing profession. They run 6 learning centres located at:

- Pretoria (Tshwane Region)
- Bryanston (Northern Region)
- Bellville (Cape Region)
Each centre is equipped with facilities to provide both theoretical instruction and practical training.
Nursing Courses Available
Higher Certificate Auxiliary Nurse
This is a one-year programme leading to registration as a registered auxiliary nurse. The Registered Auxiliary Nurse with the qualification Higher Certificate in Nursing will have the necessary knowledge and skills to function in a wide variety of healthcare settings, provide basic care to patients and provide a supportive function to general nurses, professional nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Nursing Diploma Level 1
This is a three-year programme leading to registration as a registered general nurse. This programme leads to registration in the category General Nurse (GN R.171 of 8 March 2013). The Registered General Nurse with the qualification Diploma in Nursing will have the necessary knowledge and skills to render nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions in a variety of healthcare settings and manage a nursing unit.
Higher Certificate Emergency Medical Care
The curriculum is outcomes-based and follows a student-centred approach. It is a one-year programme, which consists of theoretical and clinical components. Equip graduates to provide emergency medical care within the Emergency Care Assistant scope of practice within a wide range of emergency medical service environment settings. Graduates can register with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Assistant.
Higher Certificate Diagnostic and Procedural Coding
This one-year programme leads to a student being awarded a Higher Certificate in Diagnostic and Procedural Coding on successful completion of the programme. The graduate with the qualification Higher Certificate in Diagnostic and Procedural Coding will have the necessary the foundational skills, knowledge, attributes and applied competencies to enable them to render a service as a Clinical Coder in the Healthcare industry.
The graduate will be equipped to:
systematically access, critically analyze and evaluate exiting data in the field of Clinical Coding;
allocate diagnostic and procedural codes;
collect data;
supervise of data collection, data auditing, data capturing and elementary data analysis.
Emergency Medical Care Diploma
The curriculum is outcomes-based and follows a student-centred approach. It is a two-year programme that consists of theoretical and clinical components. To graduate students who are equipped with skills to render lifesaving emergency care to critically ill or injured patients. Graduates will exit with an Advanced Life Support qualification and be able to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Paramedic.
