UWC has 13 residences. 8 residences are situated on-campus. The university provides a shuttle service between the 5 residences which are situated off-campus and the university main campus.

Some residences are strictly for first-years and some are strictly for postgrad students.
Off-campus residences
UWC has 4 off-campus Residences which are Disa situated on Tygerberg Hospital premises, Gorvalla, Kwikbake & Caltex Residences are situated in the residential suburb of Bellville South and lastly Hector Peterson is situated in Belhar.
