Sassa Postbank Black Card
The new card allows individuals to transact and make payments for goods and services without the need for cash. It also provides access to ATMs and Post Office branches nationwide for withdrawals and other transactions.
The Mzansi account, available exclusively to South African citizens with a valid ID, offers linked debit and credit orders to help manage monthly expenses. However, there are strict limits: account balances must not exceed R25,000, and daily withdrawals are capped at R5,000.
Additionally, customers may only hold one account of this type.
Postbank emphasises the importance of secure banking for all, ensuring that deposits, including salaries, can be easily made and safely stored. The Mzansi Visa Debit Card offers a reliable and cost-effective banking option.
Individuals can visit any Post Office branch with their South African ID and proof of residence to apply for the Mzansi Debit Card.
Beneficiaries who have the gold card can still use this to withdraw their Sassa grants.
