The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) confirmed the grant payment dates for June 2025. This information will inform millions of financially disadvantaged people of when they will receive their social security.
Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid. This is in addition to the approximately 8 million individuals who receive the temporary Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.

Sassa Grant Increases
The grant amount for June remains the values indicated by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana in March 2025. This was reaffirmed this week in the third budget speech of the year.
SRD Grant Payment Dates for June
Sassa confirmed that SRD grant applicants will be paid later in the month. Beneficiaries are encouraged to complete a Sassa status check to confirm their exact payment date.
