The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Trimester 3 applications are now open. The government bursary scheme is confirmed until when students can apply for funding.

NSFAS offers bursaries and student loans to cover all the needs of eligible students pursuing a qualification at public tertiary education institutions.

When NSFAS Trimester 3 Applications Will Close

The NSFAS Trimester 3 application period closes on 20 September 2024, giving students just over two weeks to apply.

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity—apply now before it’s too late!

NSFAS explained that these application periods are closely aligned with the academic calendar, allowing students to apply for funding as they begin their studies. The financial aid scheme also advises students to apply for the relevant academic cycle in which they intend to register.

Academic calendars at TVET Colleges differ from those at universities and other higher education institutions. Consequently, NSFAS provides different application periods for TVET College students who are not enrolled in year-long courses.

What You Need for Your NSFAS Application

To complete your NSFAS application, you'll need your cell phone number, email address, and a copy of your ID or birth certificate. Additional documents may be required depending on your circumstances.
