The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) recently opened applications for semester 2 bursaries specifically for students enrolled in approved programmes at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. Students who applied can now check their NSFAS application status.
NSFAS provides comprehensive bursaries and student loans to deserving learners. This includes money for tuition and registration fees as well as several allowances for food, accommodation and learning materials.
Why a Separate Application Period?
TVET colleges often operate on different academic calendars compared to universities. To accommodate this difference, NSFAS offers dedicated application windows for TVET students, ensuring they can access funding for their specific semester start dates.
