SASSA has officially announced that they have opened up a Recourse Mechanism. This enables applicants who have been declined to have their application reconsidered. Applicants who feel that your application was rejected for an unfair reason should definitely look into an appeal.
If you wish to send in an appeal, you can now direct your appeal to [email protected] for review.
Minister Lindiwe Zulu stated, "The recourse process will be gazetted in due course. This will provide the legal framework within which the reassessments will take place. This will ensure that all applicants are dealt with in a transparent and administratively just manner."
Applicants requesting for their application to be reconsidered do not need to upload documents as the the recourse process is electronic.
Zulu also stated, "This facility will have dedicated staff to respond timeously to all emails."
This R350 grant will run until October 2020 and applications are still open.
