So you've finished your final IEB Matric exams and you've just received your results. However, they aren't what you were hoping for. You can still get it re-checked or re-marked if you see any issues and are not satisfied.

A re-mark means that your examination will be marked for a second time and a re-check of your scripts is a further check to ensure that all questions are duly marked and that all marks are correctly calculated.

A re-mark costs R830 and re-check costs R420 for 1 or more papers.

You can find all the details, costs and information on how the process works for this with the results that you receive as they are given together.  There will be a document of IEB instructions regarding applying for re-marks released with the Grade 12 results.

You can then apply online (if required and necessary) directly to the IEB as the school cannot apply on their behalf. All applications for this must be submitted to the IEB by the due date which will be released with the results.

The deadline to apply is usually by February, but you can check the IEB website for more information.
