The University of Johannesburg uLink sign-in page or the UJ portal is the gateway to the resources at this university.
UJ is one of the leading universities in South Africa, and the ULink Student Portal is an essential part of the university's digital infrastructure.
ULink Student Portal
The ULink student portal is designed to give students a centralized platform where they can access a wide range of academic resources, tools, and services necessary for their educational journey. All you need is an internet connection.
Students can use uLink to perform various academic activities. Only registered students have access to the student portal via their ulink password.
- The ULink student portal can be accessed via the University of Johannesburg's official website. New students receive their login credentials once they've registered for their courses.
- Returning students use their existing student number and password to log in.
Students have access to these functions on their tablet and laptop or desktop. The Notification Centre provides students with important communications, contact details, and a summary of the events for the day.
Students can also use the uLink portal to submit their registrations.
UJ staff members can also use uLink to post new notifications and events.
- Once logged in, the dashboard presents an overview of the most important features, including academic records, finance, and personalized announcements.
- Course Registration: Students can enroll in courses, add or drop modules, and view their academic registration details.
- Timetables: This feature allows students to view their class schedules, examination timetables, and any changes to their lecture times.
- Academic Record: Students can check their grades, academic history, and progress reports.
- Learning Management System (LMS): ULink is integrated with the university's LMS, often Blackboard or Moodle, where students can access course materials, submit assignments, and participate in online discussions.
- Personal Information: Students can update their personal details, such as contact information and address.
- Financial Services: View and manage tuition fees, accommodation charges, track financial aid, and make payments online.
- Library: Access the university's library resources, including book loans, research databases, and academic journals.
- Student Cards: Information on how to obtain or replace student cards can be found on the portal.
Support and Communication:
- Announcements: Important notices and information from the university are posted here.
- Helpdesk: Students can reach out for support related to technical issues or academic queries.
- Email Access: The portal often provides a link to the university's student email system.
- UJ’s ULink portal is typically designed to be mobile-friendly, allowing students to access the platform from their smartphones or tablets.
- Regularly update passwords and ensure that they are strong to maintain the security of personal information.
- The interface is usually intuitive, with a menu bar or icons directing students to different sections. Familiarize yourself with the layout early on to make navigation easier.
- If you encounter any issues with accessing or using the portal, contact the university’s IT support center.
Updates and Maintenance:
- Be aware of scheduled maintenance periods during which the portal may not be available, usually communicated via announcements on ULink or university email.
