There are many reasons why a student might not be able to complete their matric, especially in South Africa. With the country’s history of inequality, it is no surprise that some learners do not have the funds to financially sustain their education all the way through.

Unisa Courses Without Matric

- Short course on Barista Skills - grade 10 minimum requirement (for deaf students)
- Workshop in Nutrition and Food Safety - no admission requirement
- Short Course in Basic Financial Life Skills - no admission requirement

Since the options are so limited at the university level, students are also welcome to try TVET Colleges, which also accept students who have achieved a minimum of a grade 9 pass and are at least 16 years of age.
