Are you a young South African passionate about technology and looking to kickstart your career in IT? The CAPACITI IT Demand Learnership Programme 2025 in Cape Town is now open for applications! 

This full-time programme is designed to equip youth with the essential skills needed to thrive in the fast-growing tech industry - and runs from 6 to 12 months.

Whether you're interested in cybersecurity, software development, or cloud computing, this learnership will provide you with both the knowledge and hands-on experience required to enter the digital economy with confidence.

IT Streams Available in the 2025 CAPACITI Learnership

Applicants will have the opportunity to specialise in one of the following in-demand IT streams:

  •     IT Support
  •     Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning
  •     Data Fundamentals & Analytics
  •     Cloud Computing
  •     Software Development
  •     Web Development
  •     Full Stack Development
  •     Cybersecurity

What the CAPACITI Learnership Offers

As a learner, you will be expected to:

  •     Embrace growth opportunities and career activation experiences

What You’ll Gain

By the end of the programme, successful candidates will:

  •     Receive certifications in their selected IT stream (where applicable)
  •     Build critical career and job-readiness skills, including financial literacy and self-management
  •     Receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals
  •     Access employment support services and industry networks

Minimum Requirements to Apply

To be eligible for the CAPACITI IT Learnership 2025, applicants must:

  •     Be a South African citizen, aged 18–34
  •     Have completed NQF Level 4 or an equivalent qualification
  •     Be unemployed at the time of application
  •     Have basic IT knowledge (hardware, software, networking)
  •     Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams
  •     Be available Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, for the full duration of the programme (6–12 months)
  •     Have no criminal record or adverse credit history
  •     Preference will be given to Employment Equity (EE) candidates and Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
