Northern Cape Rural TVET College Courses
Northern Cape Rural TVET College offers a diverse range of courses, including certificate and diploma courses in Business and Engineering. Completing any of these qualifications may lead you to employment in your chosen field or further study at the university level.
The Northern Cape Rural TVET College offers both NATED and National Certificate (Vocational) courses in management, engineering and administration.
National Certificate (Vocational) courses
Applicants who have a Grade 9 qualification can enrol in one of the NC(V) courses offered at the Northern Cape Rural TVET College. An NC(V) qualification is equivalent to a Matric Certificate. These programmes are aimed at developing students in an area of specialisation with skills and knowledge needed for a successful career.
NC(V) courses offered at the Northern Cape Rural TVET College include Hospitality, Office Administration, Automotive Repair, Fabrication, Fitting and Turning and Electrical Infrastructure.
Individuals who do not meet the minimum APS required for the NC(V) programmes can register for a Pre Vocational Learning Programme (PLP).
NATED Courses
Northern Cape Rural TVET College also offers several NATED Programmes. NATED programmes usually consist of months of theoretical studies at a TVET college and months of relevant practical application in workplaces. Students must have a Grade 12 qualification to register for a NATED programme.
NATED programmes offered at the college include Public Management, Human Resource Management, Management Assistant, Financial Management, Business Management, Fitting and Tuning, Electrical Infrastructure, and Tourism. Students can also study to become Legal SecretSecretaries, Mechanics, Boilermakers, Millwrights or Auto electricians.
Northern Cape Rural TVET College Campuses
The college consists of five campuses located in Upington, Kathu, Kuruman, Namaqualand and De Aar. It has an experienced, dedicated teaching team, excellent materials, and well-equipped facilities.
